Job Specification

Role:                                                  Project Engineer

Basis:                                                Permanent 

Start Date:                                         ASAP

Reports to:                                       Manager, Current Engineering

Annual Salary:                                 £30k to £45K, negotiable subject to qualifications & experience

Based:                                               Coventry (with UK and overseas travel)

A Project Engineer with whole vehicle Engineering aptitude is required to support the ongoing Engineering design and development of the current range of vehicles

The Role:

  • Support the Current Engineering team in the generation and tracking of key metrics across a number of projects
  • Liaise with all Engineering function groups and business functions in respect of the above, gathering inputs for collation
  • Present status reports to Senior members of staff as required
  • Support team members in managing workflow
  • Support the tracking of engineering deliverables against the New Product Introduction (NPI) gateway requirements

The Person:

  • Must have a very high level of competence in the use of the MS Office toolkit, in particular Excel and Powerpoint
  • A General automotive knowledge is required in this whole vehicle support role
  • An engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience may be considered)
  • Ability to work proactively with minimal support using a logical approach in an environment with minimal documented processes
  • Flexible to support other team members in multiple programs as required
  • Intrinsically self-motivated with an ability to work to challenging time scales on multiple priorities
  • A strong communicator with clear and logical written and verbal communication skills
